encouraged to play... you don’t have to be an expert. *(See note below). And
the game is a lot of fun!

The shuffleboard courts have been
beautifully reconditioned through the efforts of
O’Connor -503; Jim Murphy – 405; Carl Diehm – 1002; and
Every time I thought the work was finished, I’d
see Denis out there working.
*(Note: Denis has volunteered to give a
short “ intro to shuffleboard play” to anyone who wants to learn
how to play the game. Just give him a call at 367-3249 to set up a time. You’ll be surprised how easily you’ll learn. It’s a

The annual meeting of
corporation shareholders took place on February 14, and due to
the efficiency of our board and our management company, business
was conducted in about 30 minutes.

The organizational meeting of
the new Board followed, with officers elected as follows:
- President: Ron Porat
- Vice President: Edel Quinn
- Secretary: Warren Weathers
Members at large are:
- Marlene Reid
- Lee Brand and

Mail Area Facelift
The mail area of
the lobby is slated for a facelift in the near future. The major
improvement will be the installation of new mailboxes ... big
ones, that will hold all our mail without having to use pliers
to retrieve the daily influx. The size will be about 16 x 6
inches. And I think Mary, our long suffering mail person, will
be as delighted with the new set-up as will Starlighters.
New Roof on North Garages
The other project slated to begin very soon is the installation
of a new roof over the north garages. You will be given plenty
of notice when the time comes to remove valuables from your
garage, cover up remaining articles, and move out your vehicle
for a short time.
The Board appreciates your cooperation as
work continues to keep Starlight property in first rate shape.
Laundry Room News
People living closest to the laundry rooms report that they are
very pleased that the new extended hours have not caused any
problems, and noise levels remain low. We’re reminded that hours
begin at 8 a.m., Monday thru’ Saturday, and 10 a.m. on Sunday -
