  About The Starlight Express

The very First Issue of Starlight Express Newsletter was created by the Editor and Chief Pat Ifft on February 29, 1992 and since then is maintained and produced monthly by her for 21 years! All Starlighter's owe immense gratitude to Pat in keeping them informed with all happenings good and bad.

Thank You Pat

It doesn’t seem possible that we are getting ready to celebrate the winter holidays...
the temperatures are more like spring; and if Santa runs into the Easter Bunny, it wouldn’t surprise us. While the rest of the U.S. is frigid and covered in ice, we are basking in sunshine. I hope we don’t pay the price next hurricane season, but we’ll enjoy it while we can.

The outside of the building has been decked out with 7500 lights (a figure computed by Marlene Reid) by Bill Fields, who had some “gofer” help from Dan Reid. That’s a lot of lights. Bill says he loves putting up lights and its even more fun when he gets paid for doing it!

And don’t you love coming in to the lobby in the evening and encountering this lovely decorated tree. An enthusiastic group of Santa’s helpers collaborated on December 3 and were rewarded with pizza for their hard work.

This year play has been expanded to Thursday mornings, as well.
