  About The Starlight Express

The very First Issue of Starlight Express Newsletter was created by the Editor and Chief Pat Ifft on February 29, 1992 and since then is maintained and produced monthly by her for 23 years! All Starlighter's owe immense gratitude to Pat in keeping them informed with all happenings good and bad.

Thank You Pat

The weather reports from "up North" sound dire... Snow! Sleet! all day Rain!

Here at Starlight, April has finally fulfilled her promise and the air is soft, the sunlight filtered and the Gulf temperature is climbing day by day.

The Pool & Gulf side Landscaping Project

The excellent weather has allowed the long-promised landscaping project to get underway.

When completed, Procare Landscape Company will have laid 5,000 square feet of sod on our gulf side, and planted shrubs along the pool fence, along with other plantings.

With proper care, the grass will be salt tolerant, in case the Gulf kicks up during summer storms.

Some Sad News

We are saddened to report the death of dear friend Ed Gibson, Apt. 402, on April 2. Our heartfelt sympathy to Betty and all the Gibson family. Ed served on the Board several times during the more than 25 years they have been Starlighters. He was a veteran of World War II.

Thank You
Many thanks to Frank Gulia for his gift of the new American flag. It is much appreciated by us all.

Reminders from the Board
And lastly a couple of reminders from the Board:
  • Please use a CORBOD to inform the board when guests will be using your apartment, and
  • Make sure your guests understand our house rules.
  • Additionally, all guests must register in the book at the North entrance.
